  Road Movie verfolgt Maja Bajevics Weg der Bewegung von der Kindheit bis Heute, aber in umgekehrter Folge – ins sichere Zuhause der Kindheit. Der Weg geht von Paris und Berlin, wo sie heute lebt, nach München, wo sie aufgewachsen ist, über Zürich, wo sie ein Jahr lebte, dann über Österreich und Slowenien nach Pula in Kroatien, wo ihre Eltern ein Sommerapartment haben und schließlich nach Sarajevo, wo Maja geboren wurde. Das Visuelle sagt mehr als alle Worte: Der Glanz von Paris, Stadt des Lichtes, geht über in die Nachkriegsruinen- und Minenfeldlandschaft von Bosnien und Herzegovina.

  In einem Pariser Café spricht Maja mit ihrer besten Freundin über die kommende Reise. Aus dem Dialog bekommt der Zuschauer erste Informationen zu dem Vorhaben. Es ist eine Reise mit der Maja ihre Biographie verarbeitet und versucht ihre Zeit und sich selbst zu verstehen.

  Die Stationen der Reise sind definiert, aber die Wege zu den Stationen, die Dauer des Verweilens und die Begegnungen sind ungewiss.

  “Road Movie” follows the path of the artist Maja Bajevic from her childhood until today, but in reverse order – secure to the childhood home. The road goes from Paris and Berlin, where she now lives, to Munich, where she grew up, via Zurich, where she lived for a year, then to Austria and Slovenia to Pula in Croatia, where her parents have a summer apartment and finally to Sarajevo where she was born. The images tell more than words: The splendor of Paris, city of light, passes into the post-war ruins and minefield landscape of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

  In a café in Paris with her best friend Maja speaks about the upcoming trip. From the dialogue, the viewer gets first information about the project. It’s a journey in which she come to terms with her time and biography.

  The stops on the trip are defined, but the paths to the stations, the duration of her stays and the encounters she will have are uncertain.
